The Public Service Recruitment Secretariat (PSRS) has announced 18 job vacancies at the Tanzania Shipping & Handling Company (TASHICO). The announcement is dated 3 October 2026, and applications are open to qualified Tanzanian professionals.

Available TASHICO Jobs 2026

1. Deck Officer II – 10 Posts

Qualifications:

CSEE or ACSEE.
Certificate of Competence for Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (OINW) on ships of 500 GRT or more (Reg. II/1).
A Bachelor's Degree in Marine Transportation, Maritime Transport or Nautical Science is an added advantage.

Salary Scale: MSCS 5.

2. Marine Engineer II – 5 Posts

Qualifications:

CSEE or ACSEE.
Certificate of Competence for Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OIEW) on ships with 750 kW propulsion power or more (Reg. III/1).
At least 1 year of working experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent is an added advantage.

Salary Scale: MSCS 5.

3. Ordinary Sailor II – 3 Posts

Qualifications:

CSEE or ACSEE.
Basic Mandatory Certificates as required under STCW95.
Rating Forming Part of Navigation Watch (RFPNW).
At least 1 year of relevant sea service.

Salary Scale: MSCS 2.1.

General Application Requirements

Applicants must:

Be Tanzanian citizens.
Meet the applicable age requirements stated in the advertisement.
Upload certified academic and professional certificates.
Provide a birth certificate.
Upload a recent passport-size photograph.
Provide details of three reputable referees.
Ensure foreign certificates are recognized by the relevant authorities.
Submit a signed application letter in English or Swahili.
