Available Positions

Mzumbe University is recruiting Tutorial Assistants in the following academic fields:

• Accounting and Finance (1 Post)
• Economic Policy and Planning (1 Post) – Open to graduates in Economics, Economic Policy and Planning, or Project Planning and Management.
• Tourism or Hospitality Management (2 Posts)
• Monitoring and Evaluation (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities

Selected candidates will serve as academic trainees with the following primary duties:

• Undergo a Master’s Degree training programme and attain a minimum GPA of 4.0.
• Complete an induction course in pedagogical skills.
• Understudy senior academic staff, attend lectures, and conduct tutorials, seminars, and practicals.
• Assist in research, consultancy, and community outreach activities.

General Qualifications & Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for any of these roles, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Academic Qualifications: A relevant Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5.0.
• Nationality & Age: Must be a Tanzanian citizen aged 45 years or below (except for those already in public service).
• Flexibility: Candidates must be ready to work at any Mzumbe University campus.
• Public Service Policy: Currently employed public servants are not allowed to apply. Individuals whose employment in the public service was previously terminated are also ineligible.

• Verification certificates from NECTA (for foreign secondary education) and TCU/NACTE (for foreign degrees, with GPA calculated on a 5.0 scale).
• A recent passport-size photograph.
